boyfriend jeans
Just a little chilly weekend styling inspo. I'm super into baggy knit turtlenecks right now. Pair one with boyfriend jeans and a killer pair of slouchy boots for a perfectly cozy look.Whether you spend your Saturdays running errands or grabbing a lazy brunch, this sweater and denim combo has got you covered...and warm, too!

Sara Donaldson = my ultimate supreme girl crush. I found one of her blog pics on tumblr and spent an incredible amount of time trying to find the OG source. Totally worth it. Clean neutrals, to die for photography, and drool worthy minimalist edits: Sara gives basics hella cool-girl street cred on her site. Now if only she were looking for a closet-raiding roomie...

Sometimes I dress like I live at the Rosebowl flea market. Deal with it. I've always been a fan of mixing high-low pieces (like any cool chick,) so this past weekend I paired my favorite consignment shop vintage Chanel with a super laid back tank and denim combo. I'm wearing a fifteen dollar top from Brandy Melville, an awesome pair of thrifted mom jeans and topped it off with my trusty panama hat. Yes, I spent waaay too much *wallet cringe* on this bag BUT I've never seen another chick with the same one. A worthy investment in my eyes.

Lazy weekend home hangs call for a comfy Canadian tux, bare feet and figs. Wearing my new favorite denim shirt from Gap. Yes, I just told you I shop at Gap. Paired with my classic destroyed Koral baggies and sans shoes, this look is easy like Sunday morning. Well that is if your Sunday mornings involve a little interior painting, economics reading and not leaving your house...

In case you haven't caught on, I'm really into white tees. It just so happens that my little sister is not only a super babe (reference)...she handles a pen like nobodies business. She gifted me a tee printed with one of her amazing illustrations. Paired with my favorite Koral baggies and a pair of sweet strappy heels from forever 21 (killer heels from forever, what?!) makes for the perfect easy, end of summer look.

I know all about that Catholic-school, plaid skirt uniform life. Did it, didn't hate it. I was actually 100 p ok with wearing that pleated skirt and polo everyday. I had way more important things to think about at the crack of dawn...like, "SH*T. Did I finish that algebra worksheet?!" I have carried the uniform mentality with me over the years, although I may have exchanged my plaid for great denim since the middle school days. Those mornings when I hit the snooze button one too many times and have exactly 2.3 minutes to get my half asleep butt out the door, I reach for my trusty denim. A canadian tux is always a win in my book (book?? I have a book?) No matter what the day brings, denim on denim is always comfortable and all kinds of cool girl (with minimal effort to boot.) In every article I've read over the years on the topic of denim on denim, pairing the shades on top and bottom are usually a no-no. Why?? I say, F THAT! If you're gonna do the damn thing, DO the damn thing. Wearing a canadian tuxedo gets you 100 points. Rocking the same shade head to toe? 1,000,000,000,000 points, and who doesn't want to be a winner?! Canadian tux in one shade, I dare you.

I'm a very serious person, obviously.

I had alot of fun with my "five days of denim" Koral collaboration! Obviously being the denim fanatic that I am, I almost peed myself when the brand reached out me. I literally had a note saved on my phone dating back to October 12th, 2012 "Koral 1-month Skinny" after I had tried on the pair in American Rag. Now here I am with a fully stocked drawer of Koral jeans for every day of the week. I would say I may never need another pair of jeans again, but you and I both know that's a lie. I WILL say that I am set for a while and can't wait to work these jeans into future posts.

"Up and coming fashion blogger, Rima Vaidila of fireonthehead.com, gives us her week in Koral denim. Each
day for the past five days she effortlessly worked a pair of Koral jeans into her outfit, showing how denim
truly can be worn every day of the week."

These are my favorite pair!! High rise skinny in "one month"

The perfect weekend outfit has been, and will forever be...a great pair of jeans and a lived in tee. Although I love my skin-tight skinnies, sometimes a lazy Saturday calls for some slouch. This "relaxed skinny" pair by Koral are stretchy with the perfect amount of bagginess (went one size up.) Button fly so it's almost like you stole your boyfriend's favorite pair, just a million times better. Wore em with my trusty crop top I DIY'd, Levi's jacket and a pair of heeled ankle booties for the perfect Saturday look. Ready for a Starbucks run, farmers market adventure or an impromptu early dinner date.

Boyfriend baggies are alot like going to a new coffee shop. It could be the worst experience ever or you could have totally found your new go-to, but when it comes to these slouchy boyfriend jeans by Koral Los Angeles..it's a total epic win. A great medium-light wash, distressing throughout and 100% cotton so they'll keep their shape wash after wash. Go a size up for a sexy super low slung fit. I paired them with a little basic white tank by Brandy Melville and covered up with my favorite vintage sheer silk blouse to add some contrast. Of course I wore my favorite heels and pushed up the jeans for cool girl vibes. These jeans will totally have you running around with a "How do you like me now!" 'tude.
