Jewelry is one thing I only recently got into. I've had my ears pierced since 5th grade but didn't regularly wear earrings until about a year ago. Now I usually have a few pairs that I just leave in. The holidays however, are the best excuse to play with sparkly things I normally would shy away from. Enter, London based Astrid & Miyu. They've created the ultimate line of minimal jewelry at super affordable prices so you can play without a crazy investment. Tons of great options under 50 bucks! I've been really into hoops lately and tried the "Golden Hour Hoops" and they've become my new evening go-to. Minimal and chic with just a little bling bling. I also doubled them up with the "Perfect One" hoops which are the cutest mini hoops, rightfully named. Click through to see how I styled my Astrid & Miyu picks and shop the collection.

Oh hey. Realized I've been sitting on a few looks I shot in NYC a few months ago so here ya go! Denim overalls, silk blouse and my favorite nike AF1's. Easy, breezy and more weather appropriate now then it was in NY september heat. Click through for more pics and outfit details.

I've shopped on Zappos plenty over the past few years because, helloooo fast free shipping and basically the best return policy in the biz, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with them on a Hudson x Zappos collaboration. I picked out the Nico Midrise in "Hardlines" and was super into the wash and fit of these jeans. I'm a denim girl (obviously) so I love trying different brands and fits. These did not disappoint. Although it's still 90 degrees in LA (what??!) I pretended it felt like fall and paired the jeans with a leather jacket, silk blouse and favorite ankle boots. Hopefully it'll cool down enough soon to actually be able to wear this.

If you've been watching my insta stories you'll know I've been in NYC for work the past few weeks. It's actually been feeling like fall the past couple days here!! V excited because not only does that mean sweater weather and pumpkin spice errythang, it means BOOT SEASON. Yes, I pretty much wear boots year round as it is but let me introduce you to my new wool lined favorites. The UGG McKay, part of their "classic street" collection. The same slip on fuzzy comfort of the og UGG boot in an updated, streamlined shape. Scroll through to see how I styled the McKay (in black obvi,) check out Rosie Huntington Whitley in the cute campaign video and shop this look!

Been pretending it's fall in LA and miiiight be trying to layer already. I should name this post "when your boyfriend is your style 'spo." He's been rocking docs recently so I decided I was going to try a pair as well. Although the chunkiness takes some getting used to, they are seriously the comfiest boots ever. Yes they look hella punk when paired with leather and a band tee BUT I'm most stoked to wear them with skirts and dresses. I also recently styled them in a teen vogue-esque party editorial to tomboy up a ballet pink pleated skirt and was super stoked on how it added instant cool to an otherwise girly look. I'm gonna go ahead and say these boots are a fall must have.

I'm happy to be working with Madison as their blogger for August! I curated my picks from the stores new arrivals into my own little mini shop. Think cool girl staples: leather, striped tees, cool black dresses, ankle boots and chain cross body bags. An edgy take on minimalism that's right up my alley. Lots of black and white with hardware detailing. I'm super happy with how the project turned out! Shop my pop up on the site and/or check out my window display (that I designed with the Madison team) and shop IRL at their 3rd street location. Click through to see some of my favorite pieces!

AG asked my sister Adria and I to give our spin on their new indigo capsule collection. Think: minimal meets indigo magic. The entire line is perfect for mixing and matching, easily dressed up or down and most importantly...comfy af. I'm super into all things denim and indigo and jumped at the chance to shoot something fun with my sis. I chose to shoot the looks against a rad tie dye backdrop I found and styled looks based on how we'd wear the pieces IRL. I'm super stoked on how they turned out. Click through to see more & shop the collection. Let me know what you think!!

Oh hey guys. It's been a while. Finally shot something though and it's hella summery. Spent the past holiday weekend in Laguna Niguel and headed down to the beach one evening to catch the sunset and take some photos. Although I'm all for itty bitty skimpy bikinis, sometimes it's nice to mix it up and go for a little more coverage. Enter: the cutest high waisted bikini bottom and matching top by giejo. Ugh. It's perfect. I love high rise jeans but always feel like the bikini versions are too girly and frilly. This one is the sporty - cool girl version and the top can double as a cute bralette under summery tops. 10/10 in my book, what do you guys think?

Hacked off hems (DIY'd) and little chain bags: these are few of my favorite things. For the longest time I hated little cross body bags. I couldn't see a point in carrying a bag that couldn't fit my camera and an outfit change. Over the past year or so I found a new appreciation for little leather zip ups (I carry my saint laurent mini duffle almost daily.) They're the best for evening activities because let's be real: no one at the bar likes getting bumped by someones massive tote. Also on a side note: 98% of my denim now has a raw hem. The easiest DIY ever - literally cut the bottom hem off at the desired point (few inches up for a cute crop) and through them in the wash. Viola! Your old skinnies has some new tattered flare.

Summer weather is inevitable. Although I'm not switching to little tank dresses and short short just yet, I am taking into account the warmer months ahead while shopping. I bought this little button up tee blouse from All Saints last summer and have to admit that it's one of the most worn tops in my closet since then. The roomier fit let's you keep things breezy May through September with minimal sweat stains. I also love that it can easily be dressed down for daytime or zooshed up for dinner. Click through to see more pics and shop my short sleeve blouse picks for summer!

While I skipped the whole wide-leg flare denim trend over the past year...I thought I'd give the boot cut (mini flare) a go and was pleasantly surprised. I'll never give up my skinny jeans but these are a fun alternative and look rad paired with a heel. I cut the hem and washed them because I love the look of well worn denim and felt a finished hemline with this style looks a little too "cutesy." It needed a little edge to be more rock & roll and less Kate Middleton. Ya feel? Paired them with my favorite striped tee and this rad blue leather biker for a pop of unexpected color. What do you think? Would you rock cropped bootcut jeans??

In December I moved to Silverlake after being a westside chick for the past four years. Moving to a new neighborhood means finding all new go-to spots. Lucking due to having friends on the Eastside to show me around  (and an extremely walkable new hood) I've been able to find amazing spots for coffee, food, desserts, flowers and shopping. AG asked me to show how I'd style two different looks in two of my favorite go-to spots in my neighborhood. I live in denim so this was a no brainer. Click through to see my favorite spots and the looks I came up with.

Comfort and style is at the core of my personal dressing. Sneakers, along with the rise of "athleisure" dressing, have become a fundamental part of everyday style. When adidas reached out about putting my spin on styling the NMD shoe, I was all in. Although typically I like to dress sneakers up, I wanted to keep things authentic and give you a glimpse into my real off duty dressing. On days when I work from home (no castings/meetings/etc.) I love a good hoodie/sneaker combo. The NMD sneaker is super light and breathable which makes them the perfect pair heading into warmer weather.  Since my schedule is different everyday, and errands inevitably come up last minute, I get dressed in the morning (even on "off" days) keeping in mind I might have to head across town for a coffee meeting or post office run. Silky luxe joggers, a comfy hoodie and color blocked sneakers look cool girl without even trying. How would you wear the NMD sneaker?

Sometimes it's just one of those days when you wear your tee backwards and a shirt dress as a jacket. There are no rules, so why the hell not?! Like the rest of the fashion world, blush is definitely having a moment and I'm all about it. But I don't fuck with just any shade of beige-y pink. Grandma nude nails have been my go-to for a minute. Not too nude, not too white, not too barbie pink. Blush. This tee from my favorite new brand Lacausa, is the ever-elusive shade of blush I've been searching for. It's perfect and can be worn backwards with a low back (like in these pics) or with a deep scoop front layered over a lacey cami or cute bralette. Even though it's warming up in LA, once the sun dips down you need a little somethin somethin to cover up. I opted for wearing this super soft lacausa shirtdress, open as a jacket. Paired with the coolest printed ankle booties for a little pop of edge and to lessen the norm core vibes. Hashtag spring ready

So I finally went through the photos we shot when I was in NYC a few weeks ago. Yup, sheer tights provide absolutely zero warmth but I totally thought they looked cute and yolo'd it. I DIDN'T EVEN GET SICK!!! I paired this cute pin-embellished denim jacket (sherpa lined for warmth bc I'm not that crazy) with a leather button up, waxed denim skirt and my trusty custom leather sk8 hi's. Bc I'm suuuuper cool lol. Although this definitely wasn't my warmest look of the week, I felt like I was pulling over the skater gurl vibe pretty well. Ps I can't skate to save my life.

I think Spring is the best time of the year to hit refresh. The craziness of the holidays are far behind as is the #newyearnewme pressure. A Spring “cleanse” should cover all aspects of your life. Maybe you finally try that hot yoga studio and cut nightly dessert to weekends only (the struggle on this one is real, let me tell you.) Or maybe you clean out your drawers (aka where you throw all your junk mail) and organize your desk. Take the cleanse-mentality to your wardrobe and donate anything you haven’t worn in the past 6 months (let’s be honest, you probably won’t ever wear it.) A few weekends ago I headed out to Death Valley with the J Brand & Elsewhere team to shoot Spring looks around the idea of wearing white as a palette cleanser. I already love dressing monochromatically (hellooooo all black) but was surprised by how fresh and cool-girl white on white looked.  Click through to check out more photos from the shoot and links to shop the pieces.

Although getting here turned out to be a massive delayed nightmare yesterday, WE MADE IT. Hellooooo NY. A little late to the fashion week party but I was able to make it to the last few shows/parties of the season and have a week full of meetings ahead. I brought a cashmere blanket from restoration hardware for the flight and have ended up wearing it as a scarf since we landed shhhhh. Also gonna give away another secret...this oversized green jacket is actually mens. Not sorry bc it's cozy af and I can fit hella layers under it. Will be making an effort to shoot everyday (key word effort) while I'm here so keep your eyes peeled for more updates! ALSO I've been posting tons of stuff on snapchat (username: rimarama) in case you want to follow me through the week ;)

Although I'm not big into Valentines day (shouldn't you show your love everyday??) it's a fun excuse to dress up date night. My closet is 95% black and white so it should come as no surprise that I opted for black leather pants, a striped tee and a black faux fur chubby. Is it weird that stripes, even in b&w, feel almost like a color??? For this look my homie, makeup artist, Crystal Liz gave me a smoky eye with a twist. Red. I know what you're thinking..."won't that look like I have pink eye??" I'm here to debunk that myth. It looks hella cool. Paired with hella volumized hair and a neutral coral-y lip and I'm ready to survive alllll the balloons-roses-love song craziness or we might just say f*ck it and stay home with netflix. Shhhhhh. What are you wearing tonight?

Although I'm not really a dress girl...they're just so goddamn easy when you're feeling lazy (and managed to shave your legs...or not.) I paired this simple shirtdress with my favorite belt of the moment, bare legs, ruffle socks and ankle boots. I've also been wearing my hair in this messy-when was the last time I washed my hair-low bun/pony hybrid and love how it easily dresses down an otherwise chic outfit. Belts have quickly become my new obsession. Hella versatile and an easy way to elevate basics. I tied mine in a knot over this dress to add some cool-but not that cool vibes. What are your thoughts on shirtdresses? How would YOU wear this?

Annnnd just like that we're back to 75 & sunny in LA. RIP winter, I guess I'll start shaving my legs again. In case you couldn't tell...I'm still really into this embellished mini skirt I bought at Club Monaco last November. It's seriously turned out to be one of my best purchases of 2015. Since the holidays are over (obvi) I wanted to breathe new lift into wearing sparkly shit IRL. Cut off sweatshirt + vintage satin bomber + ankle booties? Violá! Take any everyday-casual outfit and swap jeans for that embellished skirt you spent way too much money for the holidays. I promise it'll look hella cool girl, do you agree??

So I know the whole overalls trend has come and pretty much gone BUT these are awesome so yolo, AMIRITE? I never go into the trend before because no one made a skinny jean version and I felt like baggy overalls were dumpy pre-school vibes. Violá! Madewell (of course) came up with the cool girl alternative. Dress up your overalls with a low bun and kitten eye (click through for makeup artists tips!!)  Layer a cozy cardigan over a cropped tank and pair with ankle booties and ruffle edged ankle socks to pull the look together. Dare I say this look is even date-night appropriate? Yup. #overallsFTW

File this under: trend that started a few years ago, is still here and isn't going away anytime soon. I sure do love me some stars; be it a cut out leather choker, star studs on my purse or printed onto a romper. I'm about em so I've compiled a list of my favorite on-trend pieces to make your spring astronomically brighter. Pun intended. Click through the slide show (& shop if you so desire) and let me know what you'd rock!

I've recently become extremely uninspired by the carbon copies bloggers seem to have become. I feel like everyone I follow on instagram posts exactly the same. Fucking. Things. So I'm trying something new. One studio shoot per month with a kick ass team. Fully styled looks and an editorial feel. Posting with purpose and steering clear of my former super minimal aesthetic that has since consumed the internet. I mean...I have been doing the whole white wall thing for 4 years now, just sayin. I still love basics, denim, black and white and will for sure stick to those...just elevating my content and giving it my own twist. Quality over quantity. No posting just to post. As someone who calls themselves a creative director...it's time to give my content vision. Annnnnd action. Look one for this month: tackling how to repurpose that skinny neck tie you bought from zara and ended up wearing once for an instagram selfie.  (Shhhh wasn't me.) Violá, use it as a belt to add just a hint of girly flair to an otherwise tomboy look. I love this pullover from Aritzia as it has that super soft fleece on the inside. I will literally wear this for a week straight (doubles as a pj top) not kidding. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the mom jean trend (weird saggy butt and camel toe action...no thanks) these fit like a glove if you buy them a size down.  What do you think of this look and new style of photos? What would YOU like to see me shoot??

As I said before, I'm not one for delicate women's watches and prefer to wear my boos. Here are some guidelines to wearing your boyfriends watch like you DGAF. First, don't resize. It's oversized because it's mens. Run with it. It should hang off your wrist and would look weird if the bracelet was sized for you. Second, wear it on your right or left wrist. You're a boss b wearing your boyfriends watch, you can wear it on whatever f*cking wrist you want. Third, stack that shit. Pile on bracelets, accessorize your wrist accessory. It's already over the top so commit to doin the damn thing. Lastly, know what watch you're wearing. People (especially guys) will ask what kind of watch and there's nothing that'll make you feel like more of a boss and knowing your shit. "Oh this 'ol thing? Just an 18k gold submariner. HBU"

Although from my previous posts you can tell I rarely wear watches. Sometimes you just want to take your boos wrist bling and play. AMIRITE?? In the first of 3 posts where I borrow steal & style my bfs watches, I played with his custom pvd coated Omega speedmaster professional. (Because of course he'd have it custom coated.) Yes, I don't wear a lot of watches but I especially hate girls watches. Why are they so small??? Do I need to be a fairy princess grandma to wear one??? Why are there always f*cking diamonds on them?? I'm all about oversized so obviously if I'm going to wear a watch...it'll be mens. Automatic gangster swag when there's hella expensive steel hanging on your wrist. Add a chain bracelet in the same finish? Extra points. Also, can we talk about this silk shirt & pant set???? They seriously feel like a sexy hug, double as sleep wear or you can mix and match them separately.  Also, FYI I took the belt off the pants to make a trendy little neck scarf bc Y NO. Win win.
