Cold and wet pretty much describes this past Saturday in LA. This always proves a challenge when deciding wardrobe without looking like a hobo cross bred with a wet rat. By chance i seem to have actually pulled a pretty cool outfit together (though a tad bit unimaginative, shh.)
Wearing: Rag and Bone grey destroyed skinnies, BLK DNM leather jacket, James Perse white tee, brand spankin new Theiry Lasry sunnies (which my next post will be dedicated to) and my (also brand spankin new/soon to be written about) Cast of Vices handcuff bracelet in silver.

What is your go to rainy day attire? Oh and have an amazing time, however you are ringing in the new year!

Rag & Bone Resort 2013 collection. Oh, gawd is it good. Woke up to an email with some of the featured pieces which quickly went from hyperventilation to a virtual shopping cart full of purple florals and (of course) leather. I'm in love with the floral print R&B picked for the season. I would call it a "tough floral"(yes I just made that up), as it has a more vintage-tapestry feel as opposed to the typically uber-girly florals. It's darker with edgy detailing (leather piecing) so the entire collection can easily transition throughout the day.  Here are some of my favorite picks for spring with cool-girl styling ideas for you babes.
Basic fitted, two-button blazer with a whole lot of swag. Floral bodice with lamb leather sleeves (yes please).  Would look great used as a basic thrown over jeans and a white v-neck tee OR get all kinds of cray by buttoning it and wearing it like a top over a lacey black bra with a denim pencil skirt and oxfords.

This soft wool-blend popover sweater with a slight high-low hemline screams "my new favorite sweater". Cozy and soft boucle knit would look perfect over navy leggings and brown riding boots or dress it up thrown over a black body con dress cinched with an obo-style belt.

Although I'm not one for dresses this print just looks too amazeballs on this fit and flare style dress to not make an exception. It also has that hint of edge I crave with cool mesh inserts on the shoulders and back. Dress it down, keep it simple and let the print do all the talking by pairing it with black Doc Martens and vintage tortoise sunnies.

How would you style these pieces?
Rockin' my mom's old Christmas sweater she wore when she was preggers with me. Happy holidays, hope you get that ipad mini, or rag and bone bag or whatever it is you asked for.

Leather is kind of my thing (it was the feature of my second blog post)...so when I got this AMAZEBALLS blk dnm jacket as a Christmas present (spoiled, I know), I died. Bad ass motorcycle cut, warm quilted interior, dope bead accented zippers....the list goes on and on and on.  It's perfection across the board. Warning: may induce an "I run shit" attitude and required a sweet Grease-inspired hairstyle. Best present ever.

Not a cocktail dress kinda girl? No problemo with a pair of these awesome party-worthy pantalones. Velvet, broacde-printed, metallic-coated, striped or aztec-inspired easily takes these jeans from last mintue holiday shopping to Christmas dinner with the fam. Pair with a simple cream blouse, bordeaux lipstick, black ankle boots and a touch of bling for a cute alternative to that black dress you always wear. Bonus? These pants can be rocked year round and work in your wardrobe like a basic.

It's Monday and this weekend (hopefully) marks the last of the Christmas party rounds. If one of those party invites was given the dreaded “ugly sweater” title, I got you! Instead of pairing your sweater with jeans and some variation of ridiculous holiday headgear (santa hat, reindeer ears...eww) like everyone else...stand out and actually look hot by taking advantage of the fun outfit opportunity. You'll get off the chart compliments and won't have to spend the next day untagging facebook pics.

When picking your sweater I recommend a solid color with graphics instead of a super-busy, patch-work style. Pair with cute, embellished cut-offs and tuck in the front of the sweater to create a more flattering waistline and avoid the "boxy-body" look. Wear sheer black tights underneath and add some cool high top sneakers for a dash of street-cred. A messy top knot and pretty tear drop earrings balance out a turtle neck sweater and elongate the neck. Holographic, in-your-face nail polish? Yes. What?? A "Christmas Pudding" clutch? All kinds of holiday-party festive! Cheers!

I shot babe Katherine Clark with L.A Models last night in a cute arcade story featuring my favorite WeSC varsity jacket from PacSun. This jacket is super versatile, actually provides warmth and best of all? It's only 99 dollars and looks like it had a 599 dollar price tag. This is the perfect go-to jacket for all occasions. Looks just as great with skinnies and vans as is does over a mini dress. And how cute does it photograph!? (well having a hottie blonde definitely helps). Happy Friday kids!

A cold rainy night of internet trolling for comfy sweaters led me to my new favorite purchase. I might already have a stack of assorted Wildfox Couture sweaters, so what?!? When you find something you love...buy it in every color, duh. This awesome skool sucks hoodie sweater arrived at my doorstep Monday night and I literally haven't taken it off since. For the love of cute, ironic graphic prints and all other things that are holy; Wildfox you take the pink-frosted cake. I'm already a huge fan of the brand but this sweater might have just taken my obsession to an entirely different level. It's slouchy with a loose fit and is perfect for rainy "I'm just a potato" kind of Sundays. Throw it over undies with some cashmere thigh-highs and you're ready for an 80's movie marathon and multiple mugs of hot cocoa with whipped cream.
Oh and in case you were wondering, yes I sleep in it too.

Wildfox Couture "Skool Sucks" Hoodie & Coal Black Beanie
During a quick visit back home this past weekend I shot my babe of a blondie baby sister, Adria. Five disposable cameras, a pair of sequin mickey mouse ears, a leotard and a whole lot of attitude later...here's some of my favorites.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm all about that tomboy swag. Androgynous pieces, neutral colors, unisex jewelry with a dash of athletic flare. Essential wardrobe pieces for this look include a kick-ass pair of boyfriend jeans (like the amazeballs balmain pair below), a leather jacket that looks like you could have swiped it from your boy's closet, a dope pair of nikes and tough accents like a wrap-around zipper bracelet and structured bag.

To avoid looking like you literally stole your boyfriend's clothes, base the look with a thin fitted sweater and a cool satchel handbag. Two hair options work best for this look...either a messy top knot or slouchy bedhead paired with a cozy beanie. Keep makeup to a minimum and add a dark nail in navy or maroon polish. Easy, sexy and swagged out in "the cool girlfriend" attire that looks great from running errands to dinner at Bottega.

New Year's Eve Dress Hunt
Round One : Urban Outfitters

Knit body con mini dress with faux leather paneling on the front. I absolutely love the halter neckline, super flattering. It's stretchy with an exposed gold zipper on the back center seam (eh, not a fan of this). Overall a solid, simple dress that can be dressed up with bling-y dangle earrings, stilettos, a top knot and a red lip.

Love Love LOVE this one. It's super comfy and the pattern is extremely body flattering. It has NYE potential with the right additions. Glittery platforms, a leather jacket, winged eyeliner and stick-straight hair can take this from dinner to poppin bottles at midnight. Also available in black (yessss)

"I look pretty, I look tough, at the same damn time!" Just about sums up this one. Bad ass leather bodice with pretty chiffon skirt. Only thing I didn't like was that the concealed side zipper stuck out a bit on my left hip instead of laying flat. I would stick it down with boob tape to create the most flattering line. Throw on a sparkly collar necklace, blazer and some peep toe booties to rock it right on the 31st.

Laser's, gift swag, campaign projections, open bar, an art installation and Snoop? Yup, that sounds like my Saturday night. PacSun threw a party and yeah...it was awesome. see party coverage pics here
