In the last of my series with Laer I played around in their Classic Moto Jacket in white. Slightly oversized, silver hardware and a slouchy, broken-in feel this jacket is THE one for spring. Looks a little less hardcore for day as a twist on the classic black LJ. Don't let the white fool you, still throwin' hella goth vibes by keeping the rest of the look black on black. Sup, Spring?!?!
No classes and coffee adventure dates with my babe of a sister, Adria, make Thursday's my favorite day of the week. Today I paired my favorite silky button up with ripped knee skinnies and brown ankle booties for easy, end-of-week vibes. Although it was disgustingly overcast and breezy out, we managed to snap some quick pics on the walk to starbucks. Piled my hair on the top of my head in a messy, dry-shampoo'd bun to avoid any rain-induced hair problems. If there's one thing I still remember from 10 years of classical ballet training, it's how to create a high, messy bun that stays in place all day. Now excuse me while I change into pajamas and watch netflix the rest of the evening.
I am a firm believer that a wardrobe should be eighty percent quality basics and twenty percent "etc." pieces. My eighty percent consists of simple and quality tees, sweaters, denim and leather. The other twenty percent is reserved for my small collection of dresses, patterns, prints and other pieces I wear often enough to have been deemed a "reasonable" purchase. When I feel like keeping it simple, more often than not, my go-to uniform is a great white tee, skinny jeans and ankle booties. I'm a self proclaimed denim snob but this pair of stretchy black skinnies by Umgee USA are surprisingly amazing. The perfect, not-too-low, rise and solid black wash make them easy to dress up or down. Definitely a closet staple. I paired the skinnies with my favorite semi-sheer, silky Laer tee and an old pair American Eagle ankle booties. Carried all my junknecessities in this new Nila Anthony bag. Basics are best. Fact.
The little editorial I shot in Echo Park with Collin Levin a few weeks ago is up on Cake-Mag today! I styled the shoot with some of my favorite pieces by Lovers + Friends, Brandy Melville, Koral Los Angeles jeans and some thrifted vintage. Messy wavy bedhead, dewy skin and baby cat-eye compliments of bomb dot com chickie, Crystal Liz.
Oh haaaay, here's more of my afternoon with the peeps at Laer. I had the best time going through racks of their leather and perfect knits for my collab with the rad LA-made brand. The black croc leather vintage boy fit jacket I'm wearing in this look is hands down the only LJ you will ever need. No lie. It was definitely the first piece that caught my eye. The perfect, unique croc texture and silver hardware detailing. *drool* I paired the jacket with a sheer jersey tee and leather sport short. Classic black and white looks so fresh and so clean clean in cool-girl materials like leather and silky knit jersey. Get on that Laer game.

I was able to stop by the Laer HQ last week in LA to peep their rad collection and play around for a few hours. For the first look of my Laer x Fire on the Head collab, I paired the perfect black moto jacket over a silky jersey tank and structured high waisted shorts...because that's the only way to rock an LJ in 80 degrees. Laer on Laer on Laer foreva. More from this collab coming soon...
