I got to spend the better part of last week playing in Montreal with the Shelly's London team for their SS2015 campaign. Stayed at the Hotel Gault, an amazing boutique hotel in Old Montreal. Comfiest. Bed. Ever. Got to tour the Shelly's HQ on Thursday and had dinner with the team at this super sexy chic resto, Le Serpent. Friday I explored Old Montreal. Grabbed an amazing soy latte and almond croissant at Olive et Gourmando before heading to Mile End. Popped into Café Myriad and wandered around the shops on Saint Laurent before heading back to the hotel since I was freezing. Linked up with everyone else for dinner at Bevo later that evening. The streets looked like every "night-in-Europe" movie scene ever. Saturday was shoot day in the studio. Had an amazing time, the entire team was bomb dot com and super fun to work with. Travis Scott on repeat all day #teamratch. Wrap party at Voro in Mile End for the perfect end to a great week. Super excited to share all of the campaign content late February!! Stay tuned.

Took a quick little trip to my hometown this past weekend. Dual citizen HOLLAAA. Aside from the fact that my camera was stolen, hence the lack of new looks, the weekend was amazing. Ran around downtown all day Saturday. Hit the Eaton Centre, bummed around Yorkville, grabbed lunch at a bomb vegan spot in Ossington then took the ferry and got an amazing (non vegan) ice cream cone at Center Island. Also was able to shoot some photos with my friend, photographer Liam Goslett, along the way (film pics coming soon!) May have gone home with blisters but they were definitely worth it. Started Sunday with brunch downtown and then bummed around St. Lawrence market before heading to my old hood, Bloor West Village, for coffee with my godmother. Headed back to Yorkville later that night for an amazing dinner and spent the rest of the night running around in search of champagne and a rooftop view. Slept for about 3 hours before jumping on my 8 am flight out of YYZ. Didn't forget my frozen cap fix at Tim Hortons. Don't worry...they're totally healthy.

I spent the past five days in my favorite city for meetings and adventures galore. My refusal to wear pants, instead opting for tights/skirt/boots combo, proved for a chilly long weekend. Even my iPhone committed suicide, while fully charged, from the cold. Ugh, technology. Only got lost once (nighttime... Chinatown...heeled booties..don't ask,) didn't get sick, shopping shopping shopping, made it to all of my meetings and the only physical damage I left with involves severely windburned lips. All in all, a very successful trip. I always forget how much I love New York. Now excuse me while I plan my next trip back A$AP.

more NY pics to come
First music post...a little weird? Deal with it. This song is just too good and it doesn't hurt that the music video is killer. All moody b&w featuring the tattooed babes of "The Neighbourhood" in leather jackets (TASTE!) and perfectly coiffed hair driving around LA in a little Mercedes. The perfect summer jam and some major eye candy. You're welcome.

I hate the beach, but I stand, in California with my toes in the sand

Dungarees, "DOPE" snapbacks, spiked everything and an overdose of hair chalk. Yup sounds about right as far as this year's "festival fashion" goes. Of course there will be the crop tops, cut offs, flower crowns (read my thoughts on those things here) and fringe on everything from boots to bras as per usual. So how does a cool girl stand out in a mob of tanned chicks in tribal prints?? Don't worry...I GOT YOU.

What? No crochet, tie dye or hair accessories? Blasphemy! Hey, I said I'd help you stand out not blend in with the plebs. I call this "coacHELLA cool girl." Not really one for neon but I'm totally diggin this little bralette and cool melon sunnies...that and I don't think the desert is the place for my inner goth chick. Take a spin on the festival staple cutoffs with these rad olive green Rag & Bone shorties , double cool points for going up a few sizes and wearing them super low with a shoe lace as a belt. A pair of classic high tops will let you run from stage to stage without breaking a sweat. Top it off with a white cropped tank and you have a festival look that is equal parts desert-street (yeah I made that up) and cool. "Um excuse me...I AM the band."
I love LA...Downtown is rad, West Hollywood is fun, Mid-City has good shopping but there's just something about the west side that makes me feel at home. Maybe it's the chill, laid-back vibe or the fact that the beach is walking distance...but that's what everyone says. Who am I kidding...I love the west side because I could unapologetic-ally rock that crochet halter my grandmother made me when I was six (pictures when I get the guts to do it.) This past week I spent a lot of time on the west side, especially on Abbot Kinney. Mainly chasing down my latest obsession, JuiceBoxWhat?! A food  juice truck that's made-to-order by extremely good-looking "juice boys"? FOR. THE. WIN. Psst..."BeetBox" with Cayenne. You're welcome.
What west side trip is complete without a stop at Planet Blue on Main Street? Went in with a mission and finally got the amazeballs striped  tank dress I've been lusting over since I wrote about it last month in "striped out". It is everything I imagined. Soft, stretchy and basically the perfect day dress. Now if only they made it in seven other colors my spring/summer wardrobe, err uniform, would be complete.

So I went to Palm Springs for a mini vacation this past weekend! This was my first time in the desert excluding work shoots and Coachella so I was pretty pumped. Stayed at The Ace Hotel & Swim Club, ran around town for a minute (thought I was going to die of heat stroke) then had dinner at Citron at The Viceroy Hotel (scallops. you're welcome) the first night. Ordered room service for breakfast the next morning (homemade granola & yogurt is amazeballs) then hung at the pool (I don't think I've seen so many tattoos in one place outside of Silver Lake) and then had dinner at Mister Parker's at The Parker Hotel (coolest hotel ever?!)

How did you enjoy the long weekend??
Plan on passing through an airport a few times in the next month? First let me say, I'm sorry. Secondly, let me tell you what to wear so that at the very least you'll be (worse case scenario) delayed in style.
Base of this look is the Canadian tuxedo, of course. Start with your favorite dark wash skinnies and worn-in denim button down. Throw a cute oversized sweatshirt over to stay warm and cozy in the cold a/c. Wear flats to breeze through the security checkpoints STAT. Early morning flight you just barely made? Wrap hair in a low bun and top with a cute hat to hide bedhead. Ran out the door sans-makeup? Spritz some refreshing mineral water and slide on a pair of dark sunnies because honestly, they're lucky your eyes are even open at this hour. Still cold? Bring a simple, asymmetrical-button wool coat that looks good left unbuttoned over your outfit. Tie it all together with a carry-on duffle filled with in flight necessities (tabloids, gum, eye mask, pills, makeup, ipad.)

Cute, comfy and ready for post-flight shenanigans. Hopefully your travels are as painless as your outfit.
