Stripes to signify the finish line are more than appropriate with finals this coming week. I've recently become weirdly super obsessed with skinny, horizontal stripes. Theres just something so effortlessly cool and chic at the same time when you see a chick wearing stripes. Blame it on my fascination with stereotypical portrayal of a chic french woman in stripes, a blunt chin-length bob and red lip stick. Or maybe it has something to do with the sleep-deprived, delirium I've been walking around in for the past two weeks. Between papers, group projects from hell and final exams next week; stripes have been looking hella great to me. Pair a looser fit striped top with low-slung cutoffs for simple, cali-girl cool vibes. The sweet little drawstring pouch, heeled sandal-bootie hybrid and light weight sunnies don't hurt either.

Yeah, I know summer is right around the corner and ankle booties are not exactly "in season," but f**k it. I'm totally crushing hard on h by hudson booties right now. All perfectly slouchy with cool detailing. They are the perfect ankle height that won't chop off your legs if you pair them with bare stems (summer essential ayy.) Be that one cool chick this spring by pairing lived in ankle booties with your looks instead of going with the jank birk trend. A pair of destroyed bf jeans and an oversized white tee with these babies throw ultimate #coolgirlvibes
Soooo can I have every pair now or naah

By now you've noticed that ripped knee skinnies have been getting major love in my ootd's. Perfect black skinnies have always been a closet staple but throw in some fading and distressing and BAM. Basic black denim that's fresh, a little edgy and perfect with everything. This pair by All Saints have been my go-to and are a definite closet must for spring. I've also been weirdly into blouses over the past few months and feel super *gasp* adult due the fact that my eye has been gravitating towards working girl wardrobe pieces like crisp, neutral button ups. I may or my not have a small hoard of silky blouses hanging in my closet now...shhhh. Although I don't foresee pencil skirts, stilettos and crimson lips in my near (or distant) future; dressing down a classic button up with ripped skinnies, strappy sandals and a thick belt gives off sophisticated cool girl vibes. This easy outfit combo has been my daily uniform for the past month, perfect for mixing cool with class. Because what's sexier than a cool chick who knows how to pull it together? A classy cool chick with kick ass confidence.

I've been obsessed with embellished heeled sandals since Isabel Marant SS 13. Yes, I know every blogger in the universe owns those same damn sandals and they were new, like, four seasons ago; I still love the way strappy sandals work with both skinnies and bare legs. Although these are not the real deal "carol sandal," as seen on blogger instagrams worldwide, they are a great match for achieving the same look at a quarter of the cost. I'm not always a Jeffrey Campbell fan but when they have these options, I can't avoid the JC groupie club.

Say hello to this perfect pair of strappy heeled goodness compliments of Dolce Vita's collab with Vanessa Mooney. *triple swoon* I need these in my life. Now now now. I can already see it...a summer full of Salton Sea princess adventures. Just as cool with cutoffs and a sweater for Eastside brunching as an alternative to my usual ankle bootie Midtown dinner situation. Ugh. Obsessed. Order them here right meow. Trust.

Completely and totally head over heels for these booties. I normally hate flowers, both IRL and as a pattern, but for some reason the subdued hues and ankle bootie form of Miista's "Ivy" just does it for me. They'd be perfect with a pair of ripped skinnies, an oversized white tee and a pair of classic wayfarers. B-day wish list numero uno.

Also, my mailing address is available upon request in case...you know...wanna thank me/spread the holiday cheer or something. Kidding. (That's a lie.)

My name is Rima Vaidila and I have an addiction to luggage. Blame my globe trotting, jet setting, silk sleep eye mask, multiple home fantasy life if you will. Over sized bags are basically my thing. So it came as a surprise when I instantly fell in love with this Saint Laurent baby duffle...as in BABY size. Who am I?!? It's itty bitty and, although I normally despise studs, is covered in the coolest silver-toned metal hardware. The bag comes with a long detachable strap which is perfecto for keeping your hands free. Sounds amazeballs right?! Now the bad news. It ain't cheap. And by ain't cheap I mean it costs two g's *le sigh* I guess I'll be seeing this bag in my dreams until I'm living my "two g's ain't nothin" fantasy life.

If you've been following my blog for any extended amount of time I'm sure you're familiar with my Reformation obsession. So when I was in NY this past weekend I totes-obvi-duh had to pop into the soho ref store. Uggggggh SO MUCH GOOD STUFF. I was finally able to try on a handful of the dresses that have been sitting in my virtual shopping cart for months now. Anyone with a slight online virtual window shopping addiction can agree that more often than not, pieces look super fab online (thanks to model babes, styling, photography, perfect lighting, etc.) and then lack the same magic in person. Let me just say this. Ref pieces look just as amazeballs, if not more amazeballs, in person as on their instagram. Amongst my fitting room stack was this backless blue velvet dress. Velvet? Blue?? Dress??? Yes. For some reason I love that it's reminiscent of a figure skater's competition garb, blame my twelve years of intense ballet training if you will. The "charm dress" lives up to its name and is perfect for a night out (hello, new year's eve!!) or for the day under a baggy sweatshirt. Although it's not available online in the blue, grab it in black or maroon to be a total #refbabe and solve your holiday dress dilemma all at once.
