If you're friends with me on snapchat you know how much I love my green juice and smoothies. Don't get me wrong. I love veggies, but there's just something about drinking them instead of having to sit down and eat them. All the great nutrients, neatly packaged and easily thrown into a purse for on-the-go juicing. Although I've done a few one-day juice cleanses, I decided to really go for it and try a 3-day with Project Juice. I chose the "advanced reset" since I prefer green juices over super sugary, fruit ones. It did not disappoint. Even though I only lasted 1.5 days ("advanced" is no joke,) I ended up sipping the leftover juices throughout the rest of the week. Have you juice cleansed before? Which one? How was it? I want to know the good, the bad and the ugly. Comment and let me know!
Took a quick little trip to my hometown this past weekend. Dual citizen HOLLAAA. Aside from the fact that my camera was stolen, hence the lack of new looks, the weekend was amazing. Ran around downtown all day Saturday. Hit the Eaton Centre, bummed around Yorkville, grabbed lunch at a bomb vegan spot in Ossington then took the ferry and got an amazing (non vegan) ice cream cone at Center Island. Also was able to shoot some photos with my friend, photographer Liam Goslett, along the way (film pics coming soon!) May have gone home with blisters but they were definitely worth it. Started Sunday with brunch downtown and then bummed around St. Lawrence market before heading to my old hood, Bloor West Village, for coffee with my godmother. Headed back to Yorkville later that night for an amazing dinner and spent the rest of the night running around in search of champagne and a rooftop view. Slept for about 3 hours before jumping on my 8 am flight out of YYZ. Didn't forget my frozen cap fix at Tim Hortons. Don't worry...they're totally healthy.
I spent the last eight days of my final spring break (YAY) uber-ing around my favorite city. I was able to shoot with some super rad photographers, meet with a couple of my favorite new brands and also stumbled upon the best bottled salad dressing ever (Trader Joe's cilantro, OH MY GOD.) I also got a chance to explore areas I'm not frequently in. In Silver Lake I had the most delicious roasted corn and guacamole from a hidden gem called Mixto. I also grabbed an amazing cold brew coffee at Alfred on Melrose and might have inhaled a GF vegan zucchini brownie. Shhhhhh...It's healthy. Of course I had to head to the westside a few times to brunch at Gjelina on Abbott Kinney, check out the roof top at Hotel Erwin, grab a "mojitobox" from the dudes at Juicebox, wait in the ridiculous afternoon line at Urth on Main Street and also try groundworks coffee at the new Market upstairs in Santa Monica Place. Had an amazing break and will be posting the week's shoots as final selects trickle in. Excuse me while I revisit this post a million times to motivate myself until hell exam week is finished in May. LA, I love you.
Nothing like leaving a late night Bottega Louie adventure with massive bag full of treats. 50 dollars for a desert "sampling," who DOES that?! Awesome people, that's who. The cheesecake and white choco covered pretzels were bomb (#FAT) but the earl grey macaroon is where it's at!!!! Oh my god. It tasted exactly like the warm, milky earl grey tea I would steal sips from my mom's afternoon mug as a kid. I think I could eat those macaroons for the rest of my life. And yes, this is the same exact outfit I wore in the last post with some gratuitous macaroon pics thrown in. Whatever, whatever. Deal with it.
Oh sup LA. Nothing like a quick trip when the weather is beyond perfection...sunny, 60 degrees with a hint of a breeze. Picked up some super soft, comfy pieces from Brandy Melville on the Promenade yesterday and basically wore them out of the store. Wore the same outfit to dinner downtown at my favorite, Bottega Louie , and had an impromptu photoshoot on the way home. Oh, LA I love you.

I do not want to start the Spring semester on Monday. I repeat. DO. NOT. So instead of focusing on the ridiculous amount of stress and tears sure to come, here are some pics from my adventures over the past week in LA. Lots of coffee, not a lot of sleep, crazy beautiful sunsets, a sweet new lil haircut, brunch on brunch on brunch, photo shoots and variations on the same outfit five days in a row. Not mad at my first week of 2014.
outfit posts from the week coming soon
Just got back from spending the weekend in Miami, sorry I've been MIA (pun intended) on the posting. Stayed in a killer suite at the W South Beach with my little mini-me sister babe, Adria. Ran around South Beach, caught a few rays and ate the best avocados of my life. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another intense semester. More photos up soon.
