Tis the season for...RAMA HOLIDAY. Ok, so the caps are a little aggressive but I'm super excited to finally share my first holiday inspired look! I combined forces with bomb dot com makeup artist and hair magician, Crystal Liz, for this month's posts! Although I'm usually super minimal (surprise, surprise) when it comes to makeup, I low-key love experimenting and
buying hoarding new products. Click through to get some tips & tricks from Crystal, shop the products and get this look!
Q:This look oozes boss b*tch vibes. What's the trick to doing a red lip right?
A: The first step to get a boss bitch red lip is finding your shade. Personally I'm drawn to vibrant classic blue reds. Next is taking the time to exfoliate and moisture your lips, and making sure you line them as close to perfect as possible.
Q: You made a high pony look hella chic. I feel like when I do it myself I look like a high school volleyball player. How can I make it look this good on my own?
A: For this particular pony it was all about effortless texture. To do this on yourself, flip your head over and spray Oribe Dry Texture Spray throughout. Give it a good shake and flip. Gather the pony just above the occipital bone. Make sure to leave volume on top, and pull out wispy hairs around the face
Q: You're a skin magician and one of the few makeup artists I've worked with that knows how to flawlessly match foundation and make it look like there's nothing there. Tips for DIY-ing it?
A: A good tip for color matching is don't forget about décolletage. A lot of people focus only on matching to the neck, but alot of times your décolletage can be a different color as well - so find a happy medium. The best way to flawless makeup is to have flawless skin - and yours is damn near flawless. Which is why I go with a less is more approach. I use a tinted moisturizer (Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation) and concealer only where it's needed.
